VERMONT CORPORATION and LLC ANNUAL REPORTS DUE DATE RAPIDLY APPROACHING

For those of you who own corporations, LLCs or non-profit corporations registered and doing business in Vermont, the deadlines to file annual reports and renewals with the Vermont Secretary of State are fast approaching. The filing deadlines to keep in good standing are:

Corporations by Friday, March 15th.

LLCs by Sunday, March 31st.

Non-profits and LLPs, by Monday, April 1st.

If you are not sure about your status this year, or need assistance, please go to the Vermont Secretary of State's official website. If you are interested in starting your own business and wish to set up an LLC or corporation, please do not hesitate to contact me at (802) 366-1010, dingleylaw@gmail.com, or through Linked In. The Vermont renewals come during tax season crunch time, so it's an easy thing to forget. If my office sets up your corporation or LLC, we will also handle your annual reports and renewals -- we remember it for you so you don't have to.

Setting up an LLC or corporation can also be a vital part of estate planning, and can assist with Medicaid planning, especially if you own an investment property.
